Unaddressed Circumventions: Folds From A Failed Suicide
The concept behind this group show is intriguing. A suicide letter from William Gaddis’ novel, “Recognition”, was taken from the book, folded up to obscure selections of the text, then sent to each artist. This letter was interpreted by a variety of artists, who responded with the art included in the show, curated by Ajay Kurian. Gresham’s Ghost is an equally fascinating gallery, created to be a ‘pop-up’ space that, according the website, will only reappear once there is a project of considerable interest. Sounds like reason enough to check this show out. “Unaddressed Circumventions” opens on May 14th, from 6-9 pm. -ABP
